Children of Poverty
All administrators, teachers and para professionals will take part in an in-service/staff development session on March 10 at OHS. The staff development will cover the successes of Lincoln High in Walla Walla , an alternative school. The school is nationally recognized for the model they have developed to deal with children who are raised in a cycle of poverty, violence, and disease. The school's past was one of violence, drugs and truancy.
Lincoln is the subject of the documentary film Paper Tigers.
